2. Information we collect

This site does not require account registration. Information may be collected in the following circumstances:

• Contact form submissions: If you submit the contact form on the About page, we collect the name, email address, phone number (optional), and message text you provide. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry.
• Server logs: Our hosting provider automatically records standard web server log data, including IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages accessed. These logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and diagnostic purposes.
• Cookies: We use a single preference cookie (hl_cookie_consent) to store your response to the cookie consent banner. This cookie does not track activity across sessions and contains no personal identifiers. No third-party analytics cookies are set.

3. How we use information

Contact form data is used exclusively to respond to the inquiry submitted. We do not add contact form submissions to mailing lists or share them with third parties. Server log data is used for security monitoring and is not associated with individual user profiles.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or disclose personal information to third parties except as required by law. Hosting infrastructure is provided by a Canadian or US-based server provider; server log data may be accessible to that provider under standard hosting agreements.

Requests can be made by email to info@harborlightliving.org. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

The hl_cookie_consent cookie is set when you interact with the consent banner on the homepage. It stores either "accepted" or "rejected" and expires after 365 days (accept) or 30 days (reject). It does not contain personal information and is not accessible to any third party. You can delete this cookie at any time through your browser settings.
